Prior to becoming a realtor with Grate Real Estate, as a freelance violinist I thought home ownership in LA would never be possible for me. Now that I have insight and knowledge about the real estate market, I feel a sense of responsibility to help educate my music community. My name is Nikki Shorts. I'm a Los Angeles area native and a freelance musician and a realtor. My Bachelor of Music degree is from Cal State Univ, Long Beach and my Master's Music degree is from Northwestern University. From recording for blockbuster films and TV shows to touring domestic and abroad, I have first-hand knowledge as to the life of a freelance musician. Because of this, I'm also aware of the issues that arise when freelancers go through the process of looking for a home. One of the many services I offer is helping clients vet mortgage lenders to make sure they are familiar with how freelancers report income.
