Peter Jay Speroni - Copyright Lawyer

Peter Jay Speroni is counsel with the Parlatore Law Group and practices in the fields of copyrights, copyright infringement litigation, and trademarks.  Mr. Speroni brings over fifteen years of music industry and entertainment experience to the firm including artist development, music publishing, media promotions and music consulting.   His specialty is intellectual property licensing, including, complex music publishing, production, film and soundtracks, record label and artist management contracts.  His passion and creativity help him to provide his clients with valuable and robust strategies, whatever their entertainment-based business needs. 

He has advised on advanced copyright strategies for large music-based companies, helped assist music-based non-profits on their music campaigns, as well as provided his industry expertise to start-up music companies and independent record labels.  His passion and enthusiasm for the music industry allow him to put the music first and to be an expert advocate and negotiator for his large range of clients, which include Hall of Fame musicians and award-winning producers and filmmakers. 

Peter oversees all legal matters for his clients and expertly advises on the complex federal laws of the Copyright Act of 1976, Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998, and the recently-enacted Music Modernization Act of 2018

He is an active member of the Erie County Bar Association.

He is admitted to practice in New York state and the U.S. District Federal Courts of New York (Western, Eastern). 

He currently lives in Buffalo, New York where he is instrumental in centralizing the legal needs of the music community in Western, NY and across the state.
