Wynton Yates - Lawyer

Wynton Yates is Counsel at Parlatore Law Group and focuses his practice on entertainment law, film and television, sports law, intellectual property, and copyright and trademark law. He assists clients with all facets of their career including drafting/reviewing/ negotiating contracts, producing licensing agreements, protecting intellectual property, business development, social media licensing & branding, and much more. His significant breadth of experience helps him to best serve the needs of his clients in all stages of business growth and development.

Mr. Yates’ passion for developing small businesses and serving artists and athletes, stems from his extensive background in the film and television industry, having spent several years as both a television reporter, and a radio station host. Additionally, as a former college athlete, Mr. Yates is acutely familiar with the struggles and lifestyle many athletes face, and his deep understanding helps to guide his representation of clients in the sporting arena.

He counsels and advocates for his clients on any aspect of their entertainment or sports career. Whether it Is drafting and negotiating a contract or developing a licensing agreement for an artist's creation to be used by a third party, Mr. Yates is uniquely equipped to handle any legal matter that will help move his client's careers forward.

Outside of his legal practice, Mr. Yates is the co-host of an entertainment-law based podcast. He also has several published online articles and regularly volunteers with the Ella Project in New Orleans, Louisiana.

He is admitted to practice in Louisiana.

He is a member of Louisiana Bar Association and the New Orleans Bar Association.

He currently lives with his wife and two young children in New Orleans, Louisiana. When not advocating for his clients, he enjoys hiking with his family, attending music festivals, and adding to his comic book collection.
