Rob Kovacs is a multitalented recording artist, professional pianist, award-winning composer and singer/songwriter. He is also known as the artist, 88bit, where he records and performs note-for-note piano arrangements of Nintendo soundtracks with exceptional virtuosity.

Kovacs is credited with performing the world-premiere solo performance of Piano Phase, which he performed on two separate pianos simultaneously. Kovacs has collaborated and performed with numerous artists (Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy, Mark Mothersbaugh, Mega Ran, Parson James, Rob Rokicki, Natalie Weiss to name a few) and is the composer and sound designer for the award-winning virtual reality game, STRAYLIGHT developed by Dr Bloc.

Kovacs teaches several skills that have been imperative in his own career including piano technique, improvisation, playing by ear, sight-reading, how to practice, music theory, composition, song-writing, recording and working with DAWs (Logic).
